Very PleasedI spent a lot of time researching platform beds for a new foam mattress before deciding on this one. I rely on reviews so thought I should help future shoppers by writing a review. I was looking for a padded headboard with a clean design. I sold my husband on the idea of a padded headboard but he didn t want a tufted one. This bed is very beautiful, solid and sturdy. I was pleasantly surprised by how attractive this bed actually is. It seems to be very well made and we anticipate it lasting for a long time. It was pretty easy to assemble and took about an hour. It arrived VERY quickly The anticipated delivery date was January 14-22 and we received it on January 7, so that was a plus. It shipped from Chicago and we are in Michigan, which was a factor. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is quite low - lower than I would like, especially after making the switch from a very thick mattress with box springs. I might look into options to raise it a bit. There is also not much clearance under the bed for storage, or a way to use a dust ruffle, which my new comforter set came with, but fortunately the bed is very attractive without it. The fabric is also very nice. The color is light beige, but I think it is beige, with taupe tones, which matches my comforter nicely.
